Solar hot water rebates.
For replacing an electric storage hot water solar system with heat pump or a hot water solar systems Queensland, you could be eligible for rebates of $1000 for pensioners and low-income earners or $600 rebate. The following conditions are applicable for you to be eligible for a rebate:
1. You should replace an existing electric system at a principal place of residence in Queensland.
2. You should have chosen a system eligible for at least 20 REC's.
3. You should have had the installation done by a licensed installer.
4. You should be the owner or tenant where the system was installed, at the time the system was installed.
5. You should have installed a system that meets the minimum warranty periods.
6. You should lodge a rebate application within 6 months of installation.
In order to claim your rebate, first you should check out the application and guidelines, as well as complete the eligibility test to ensure you don't expect a rebate and then have your application declined. If you're eligible, you should find a local solar systems Queensland professional and then complete the application form after the installation is done (with the help of your electrician and plumber). Payment of the rebate will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer into your nominated account.
For the additional rebate for pensioners and low-income earners, applicants must have one of the following:
1. Centre link Pension Concession card
2.Centre link Low-Income Health Care card
3.Commonwealth Seniors Health card
4.Department of Veterans' Affairs Pension Concession card (Blue only. Orange, white and gold cardholders aren't eligible).
